Challenge

This nonprofit helps families who have a child with cancer. When they needed to update their brand to help increase their visibility and donations. While the new Executive Director was providing vision and direction for the organization, Friends of Karen had been around for 30 years and didn’t want to lose any of the goodwill associated with it.

Solution

After conducting a brand assessment and research interviews, Red Rooster Group uncovered the organization’s core strengths and personality and developed key messaging points. We then updated the logo to provide a fresh look, while balancing the need to keep its existing recognition. We strengthened the main story in the logo, while developing a visual vocabulary for the organization. We then redesigned their website from the ground up, with online donations, and automated features for the News and Events, and Flickr photo galleries.

Results

The updated brand was extremely well received. After a year-end fundraising mailing, the organization exceeded its fundraising goals.
