Annual Report
As Student Advocacy celebrated their 30th Anniversary, they centered their 2012 Annual Report around the theme “Advocacy Works.” In previous years, budget restrictions had ruled out full-color printing, but the current affordability of 4-color digital printing allowed us to greatly expand the design possibilities for this year’s report. We chose an elegant palette of grey and yellow that would show off the lush, brightly colored photos we used to illustrate the pages. Each photo emphasized this new color vibrancy by shifting from grayscale into full color, a treatment that also served as a metaphor to illustrate the situation of children that Student Advocacy serves; children who have struggled in school that are finally able, with Student Advocacy’s help, to blossom and achieve academic success.
Infographics
To create even more visual interest in the report, we designed Student Advocacy’s financials and statistics into an engaging infographic that spanned two spreads and included a detailed map of the numbers of students served in New York’s Westchester and Putnam counties.
Donor Card
The visual correlation between the donor card and the annual reports helps Student Advocacy translate the good work they do — which is outlined in the report — into a case for giving.
