Supporting Nonprofit Associations

  • We are Affinity Partners with the New Jersey Center for Non-Profits to provide pro-bono services to them and discounts for their members. We have worked with them to promote their Annual Non-Profit Conference and to improve their membership appeal.
  • We lobbied in Washington, DC for $25 million for capacity-building for nonprofits.
  • We were members of the NYC Venture Philanthropy Fund providing funding for nonprofit organizations.
  • We produce educational webinars to the National Council of Nonprofits, the umbrella organization for the statewide nonprofit associations.
  • We sponsored the Craigslist Nonprofit Bootcamp, NYC, 2008

Serving on Nonprofit Boards

  • Howard was Marketing Chair, Governance Matters for 3 years, an organization dedicated to promoting good board governance of nonprofit organizations.
  • Howard served as the volunteer Design Director for the J2J Network, a nonprofit organization.
  • Howard served as the president of The Executive Forum.
  • Howard served on the steering committee of SPARK, a design organization.

Fundraising for Nonprofits

  • Howard has personally raised nearly $10,000 for Hazon, the largest Jewish environmental organization in the United States. He put together the largest team which raised $28,000 for their fundraising bike ride and was named Hazon’s 2009 Person of the Year.

Connecting Nonprofits

  • We produce Ask the Experts events to give nonprofits access to expertise to help them grow.
  • We run the monthly Nonprofit Dinner to bring together nonprofits and consultants to discuss how to strengthen nonprofits and improve the sector.

Educating Nonprofits

  • We founded the Nonprofit Brand Institute to educate nonprofits about building their brand.
  • We educate nonprofits with seminars on marketing, fundraising and design at the Support Center for Nonprofit Management, the Foundation Center, the United Way, the Connecticut Association of Nonprofits and other venues.
  • We educate nonprofits with articles in publications and websites such as Board Member, Nonprofit Advantage, and Wild Apricot.
  • We educate people about the need for a strong nonprofit sector on our blog.
