CLIENT: Student Advocacy
With demand for its services exceeding its capacity to serve everyone that needs help, Student Advocacy felt ready to start thinking about other sources of funding to help increase its staff. The first step in laying the groundwork for future fundraising efforts was to update their visual identity and develop professional marketing materials to tell their story. We created a complete branding overhaul that clarified their core attributes and established an organizational logo and several sub-brands.

New Logo and Brand Family
We started by developing a new logo that would convey the Student Advocacy’s goal of helping kids achieve success in school. The logo comprises several elements including the leaping student and open book, and oval shape that are used in the logos for the organization’s 25th anniversary, awards dinner and scholarship fund in order to maintain continuity and recognition of the brand. Brochures were created in English and Spanish to appeal to a wide audience.
Annual Report Celebrates 25th Anniversary
For their 25th year anniversary, instead of the usual booklet style annual report, we created a series of 25 cards around the theme of 25 Reasons to Celebrate Our 25th, which conveyed their message through a combination of facts, anecdotes, quotes, stories and artwork. This cost-effective package printed in 2-colors was very well received.
Annual Reports
Student Advocacy’s annual reports revolve around stories of students that the organization has helped. The challenge is produce engaging documents on a low cost printing budget.
Website
We redesigned the website as a tool to reach parents looking for support for their child with special needs or or other problems in school.
Donor Kit is Easily Updatable
To explain Student Advocacy to potential donors, we created this modular kit of cards. The cards describe the needs in the community and how Student Advocacy is effective in meeting those needs. We used statistics and testimonials to substantiate the organization. The 5 x 8 card format allows for updating information without reprinting an entire brochure.
Overcoming the Odds Awards Dinner
We created the promotion for Student Advocacy’s annual awards dinner, including the save the date postcard, invitation, and journal. See more.
“The branding work which Red Rooster Group completed for us led to a fresh up-to-date look on new business cards, stationery, and brochures and annual report. Their designs were also expanded into eye-catching promotion for our events. Red Rooster Group is a pleasure to work with — thoughtful and pleasant. They really listen to my concerns regarding goals, publicity issues and budgetary concerns. He finds a way to produce the product I need at a cost I can afford. I highly recommend Howard Levy and Red Rooster Group.â€
